Come learn about one of the fastest growing equestrian sports in the World! Working Equitation is a 4 phase sport that highlights the agility, partnership, finesse and power of the traditional working ranch horse. Developed on the Iberian peninsula in Europe in the 1990’s, WE is a composite sport that combines Working Dressage, Obstacles with Ease of Handling, Obstacles at Speed and Cattle Sorting. The best part of WE is that it is open to ALL BREEDS AND DISCIPLINES! We welcome Western riders, Dressage riders, Trail riders and everything in between!

This clinic will highlight the general rules and guidelines of the sport and introduce riders and horses to several of the obstacles that are featured in WE. Katrina will guide you through the correct execution of the obstacles and help you and your horse gain confidence each step of the way. This clinic would be appropriate for those who have the MINIMUM basic skills and ability to walk and trot independently. Canter work is not required at the Introductory level, but riders who are ready for cantering a course will be encouraged to do so.

Katrina has been involved with Working Equitation since 2012, taking instruction from WE judges and trainers from Portugal and Mexico. She is currently showing her 5 year old Arabian gelding in the Novice A division.
