2017 Youth National Championships
C EST LA V
( Audacious PS x Crystal Jewel V by *Jullyen el Jamaal)
A huge congratulations to the newest National Champion by Audacious PS! Faith Krichke showed three year old C Est La V to 2017 Youth National Champion Mare JTH and Youth National Champion Mare JOTH at her very first National competition.
C Est La V was marketed by Varian to the Krichke family at Scottsdale in February. Her show record this year includes a second place in the Fillies 3 and Under JTH and Top Ten in Three Year Old Fillies at Scottsdale as well as multiple championships at class A shows.
C Est La V was foaled at Varian Arabians and bred by our client Phyllis Lindamood of Arroyo Grande, California.
C Est La V is out of the lovely Crystal Jewel V, a full sister to Varian Hall Of Fame Mare Chili Pepper V, dam of 3 National winners including National Champions in Brazil and Libya. Crystal Jewel V represents the iconic nick of *Jullyen El Jamaal on a Desperado V daughter, a cross that has produced National Champions in halter, hunt pleasure, western pleasure, english trail and western trail, and National winners in sport horse in hand, sport horse under saddle, and reining.
We will be watching this stunning girl's future successes!
Congratulations from Varian Arabians to Keith, Maureen & Faith Krichke !!
Ali Schultz and Ashai Prince V
Next week we are losing a very special client & her horse. Ali Schultz came here to visit the farm about a year ago & fell in love with Ashai Prince V (Audacious ps x Ashai Princess V). She purchased him that day and he has been in training here with Jaime. Ali has been flying back and forth from Boulder, Colorado at least once a month to ride him.
We will miss both of them very much, but we all realize it is time for him to move closer to her.
Sherry Conrads did this wonderful photo shoot of her and her "Prince".

SUMMARY: In the three most opposite pleasure performance divisions (English Pleasure Open Finals, Western Pleasure Open Finals & Hunter Pleasure Open Finals) as well as the highest levels of halter divisions (Senior Mares Finals and Senior Stallions Finals) at the 2017 Scottsdale Show, all but two horses carried Varian lines… proving yet again Sheila’s unending philosophy that Varian horses should be both beautiful and functional at the highest levels across all divisions.
43 out of 45 horses carried Varian blood
88% in halter carried Varian blood
100% in performance carried Varian blood
A Note From Angela: Varian Arabians extends its profound congratulations to all the winners in Scottsdale who carried Varian lines. We are proud of what Sheila created, and we are enthusiastic about carrying it into the future and continuing to cheer on our owners and breeders with V horses. They speak for themselves. This year's Scottsdale Show is for you.
