Varian Spring Fling Makes History
 An overflowing crowd of 250 people flooded through the gates of VarianArabians on this past weekend, April 25 - 26, to enjoy the beauty ofthe Varian horses and the ranch itself. Dr. Mark Rick DVM of Alamo PintadoEquine Clinic gave a most fascinating explanation about new proceduresin the veterinary field, Arthritis medications, Cloning, Stem Cellresearch.
 We presented 21of the best of the Varian Arabian horses which we call theCollection horses, cream of the crop mares and colts that are schooledand ready to go as well as the Affordable Family horses, usually geldings that are readyto start their lives out already schooled the Varian way, qualitygeldings that can do whatever a new owner wants whether it is to showat the Nationals or be a trail riding partner. The idea for the Affordable Family horses is that anyone who loves Arabians should have the opportunity to own one.
 Interestingly, in the past, the Spring Fling horses are sold on theSpring Fling weekend and when the weekend is over so are the purchasesbut this year people seem to be thinking carefully. As I write thisletter on Monday morning I have received calls and emails from folksstill thinking about horses they saw on Saturday or Sunday. At thismoment Varian horses will depart for new homes in California,Wisconsin, and Rhode Island.
